Sleep in, relax, and still make time for adventure with our Afternoon Everglades Tour to Sawgrass Recreation Park! This is the perfect way to experience Florida’s wild side without the early morning rush.

Feel the thrill of a high-speed airboat ride (about 40 minutes) that blends excitement with up-close views of the Everglades’ unique “River of Grass,” wetlands, and wildlife. Your experienced captain shares insights on the ecosystem, native species, and the region’s history as you glide across the water.

After the ride, explore the park’s Alligator & Reptile Exhibit. See dozens of rescued animals up close—including alligators, turtles, snakes, and more—and enjoy the chance to touch a baby alligator. It’s educational, family-friendly, and a highlight for many guests.

The tours starts at 2:00 PM and ends at 6:30 PM.

Do we get wet on the airboat tour?
No — you’ll stay dry! At most, you might feel a light mist from the water spray, but it’s refreshing and part of the fun.

Can infants join the airboat ride?
Infants must be 8 months old and at least 18 pounds to take the airboat ride. Children under 3 ride free, and life jackets are provided. Note: the airboats can be loud; ear protection is a good idea for little ones.

The drive from Downtown Miami to Everglades National Park takes approximately 50 minutes, covering a distance of 48 miles (71 km), depending on traffic and stops along the way.
