Are reservations necessary?
Yes, the tour sells out. The driver will not allow passengers on the bus without a reservation, and the bus will not stop at a pick-up location unless it is on the schedule.

How do I buy tickets?
Book online at, or call us at (305) 260-6855. After booking, you will immediately receive an email confirmation containing your receipt and itinerary.

Can I pay in cash on the bus?
Cash is not accepted. You must purchase tickets in advance with a credit or debit card. Many of our tours are popular and sell out early. By booking in advance, you are guaranteed a spot.

Will you pick me up from my hotel?
Yes. We offer courtesy pick-up and drop-off service from hotels in Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach, Downtown Miami and Miami Airport. Pick-ups start at 6:00 AM and end at 7:30 AM.

What if I am staying outside your hotel pick-up area?
Meet the bus at 7:15 AM at our Main Pick-Up Location in Downtown Miami. Get directions

Where can I park my car at the Main Pick-up Location?
There is a parking garage at the entrance to Bayside Marketplace, next to the American flags. The garage is directly across the street from the Main Pick-up Location at the Holiday Inn Hotel. Parking meters can also be found on the street.

Is it necessary to print my receipt?
No, a printed receipt is not required. The driver will have your name and be expecting you.

What if I don't receive the email confirmation with my receipt?
If you don't see the email confirmation in your Inbox, check your Spam or Junk Mail folder. You should also try performing a search in your email account for the phrase: Miami Tour Company. If you still can't find the email, contact us and we will resend the confirmation.

Can I come to your office?
No, our office is not open to the public. Our aim is to give you the best possible prices. We don't have an expensive office, so we can pass on these savings to you. Can I reserve a tour with my hotel concierge?
Most likely, no. Space is limited, therefore, we have a limited amount of hotel partners. You can call us from your hotel, but your hotel may not make a reservation for you.

Can I bring luggage on the bus?
Yes, you may bring 2 pieces of luggage (not weighing more than 50 pounds each).

Will you pick us up at the cruise ship port?
No, we are unable to pick you up at the port. However, it is easy to take a taxi to our Main Pick-up Location, which is only 1 mile from the cruise ship terminal. Taxis are always available and the cost is less than $10.

How big is the bus?
The vehicle is a 60-passenger motor coach. There is a restroom on board.

Does the bus have air conditioning?
Yes, all Miami Tour Company buses have custom designed air conditioning systems. The AC systems are regularly maintained, so passengers stay cool and comfortable -- even in the heat of the Miami sun.

How will I recognize the bus?
Our buses are white, with an orange logo on the side that says "Key West Tours."

How long does it take to drive to Key West?
The drive takes approximately 4 hours from Miami. The distance is 159 Miles (256 KM). Driving the Overseas Highway is a one-of-a-kind experience. You will see some of the most spectacular scenery in the State. You will literally be driving right over the ocean and across a thin chain of islands and bridges, including the famous 7-Mile Bridge. These bridges connect 34 islands that make up the Florida Keys.

Do we stop on the way to Key West?
It depends. If passengers wish to take a break, we will stop at the McDonalds in Tavernier at approximately 9:00 AM. There is also a convenience store and a grocery store in the same vicinity.

What are some good items to bring on the bus ride to Key West?
The road trip takes about 4 hours. Here are some good things to bring to keep you comfortable on the trip: a smart phone, tablet computer, MP3 player, books, magazines, camera, snacks, sleeping shades, and a travel pillow. We drop-off and pick-up at the Tour Bus Stop located next to the Mel Fisher Museum (200 Greene Street) in Old Key West.

How much free time do we have in Key West?
You will have 1 hour in Key West before the snorkel tour, and 1.5 hours after, to explore the island at your leisure.

What is there to see in Key West?
Famous for its history, this tropical island is home to famous landmarks such as the Southernmost Point in the United States, Mel Fisher's Treasure Hunting Museum, Ernest Hemingway's House with the 6-toed cats, Fort Zachary Taylor, and a spooky above ground cemetery just to name a few.

Offering more than historical landmarks, Key West is also home to famous places such as Sloppy Joe's Bar, Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, Hog's Breath Saloon, and even clothing optional bar aptly named Garden of Eden.

What time do we return to Miami?
The bus returns to Miami at approximately 9:45 PM and to Fort Lauderdale at approximately 10:30 PM.

Will you take me back to my hotel after the tour?
Yes, we offer courtesy drop-off service to where we picked you up. Key West tours will return back to Miami at approximately 9:45 PM.

Are there beaches in Key West?
There are a two beaches in Key West, the most popular is located at Fort Zachary Taylor, at the southern end of the park. But between you and me, the beach scene in Miami is much better. Go to the Keys to explore. Go to Miami for the beach. That being said, Key West is a great water sports destination, so bring a bathing suit and sunscreen, if you plan to get wet.

How does the snorkel tour work?
You will arrive in Key West at approximately 11:00 AM. The snorkeling tour begins at 12:30 PM and takes place aboard a large catamaran. It takes about 45 minutes to get out to the snorkel site. You will have 1 hour to snorkel before returning to the dock.

On the catamaran, you will receive professional snorkeling instruction, sanitized snorkeling gear, and a flotation device.

The vessel features a shaded sundeck and fresh water showers, and serves free water, soft drinks, beer, and wine.

Make sure to bring a towel, sunglasses, and sunscreen. You're also welcome to bring lunch and snacks.

In addition to snorkeling, you will have 1 hour in Key West before the tour, and 1.5 hours after, to explore the island at your leisure.

Do you have to know how to swim to go snorkeling?
Although it is best for you to be comfortable in the water, you do not have to know how to swim. Each guest is provided with a buoyancy vest that will assist with flotation so that you can view the reef. There are also noodles and body boards in the water you can hang on to.

The crew will give you detailed instructions as you sail out to the reef. They will go over how to snorkel and safe snorkel procedures. Additionally, a crew member will be in the water with you for hands on assistance.

How much snorkel time do we get?
The total snorkel tour last 3 hours. Guests will enjoy an hour to sun and relax as we sail out to reef, an hour of reef snorkeling, and the last hour to continue sun bathing and relaxing as we sail back to shore. After snorkeling, complimentary beer, wine, soda, and water are served.

Can I eat on the bus?
Yes, you may bring food and beverages with you, but do not throw trash on the floor. Deposit trash in the waste basket on the bus. Don’t put chewing gum under the seat and treat our bus with care.

Can I take pictures?
Of course! Photography is encouraged. Our vehicles have like large panoramic windows that are perfect for sightseeing. As a matter of fact, we know vacation photos are so important to you that we produced a "How To" video with some helpful tips for getting good shots. Watch the video

How do people dress?
Key West is casual. A sundress for ladies and khaki shorts for guys is as dressed up as anyone ever gets. In the same vein, there are no “Miami-style” clubs, with long lines, expensive cover charges, and dress codes.

Should I bring an umbrella?
Miami, Florida is the 8th rainiest city in the U.S. Having an umbrella on hand is always recommended, especially during the rainy season (July, August, and September). To ensure a stress-free day, read the pre-tour checklist.
